Manual Keratometer (Ophthalmometer) is a precision ophthalmic instrument manufactured by Medcounty, designed for manual measurement of the anterior corneal curvature and reflective power in hospital, eye care clinic, and optometry settings. The instrument measures the radius of curvature of the corneal surface within a range of 6.5 mm and diopter range of 5.2 mm, supporting routine clinical assessment of corneal parameters required for contact lens fitting, pre-operative evaluation, and astigmatism assessment procedures. The corneal reflective power measurement capability of 36D provides clinically relevant data for ophthalmic examination workflows. The instrument operates on a 15W illumination system that provides adequate lighting for clear mire reflection visualization during measurement procedures.
The instrument is equipped with a focusing knob that supports precise adjustment of the optical pathway during measurement, along with a rotating grip mechanism for axis location that assists in accurate alignment of the measurement meridians during corneal curvature assessment. A chin rest is provided to support stable and comfortable patient head positioning throughout the examination procedure, contributing to consistent and repeatable measurement results across patient sessions. The locking knob, elevating knob, leveling sight, and axis scale are incorporated into the instrument design, providing the examiner with complete manual control over instrument positioning, alignment, and measurement parameter observation during clinical use.
