Description
The Close Wound Drainage Set is a post-surgical device used for the collection of wound exudates and fluids under negative pressure, ensuring proper healing and reducing the chances of infection .It consists of a silicon/PVC catheter tube with multiple lateral eyes for efficient drainage, connected to a graduated collection reservoir (typically 100 ml / 200 ml / 400 ml capacity). The system operates on a closed suction principle, preventing backflow and contamination .The set includes a universal connector for secure attachment, and a trocar/introducer needle may also be provided for easy placement of the catheter. With available sizes ranging from 8 FG to 18 FG, it covers both adult and pediatric surgical requirements.
